Incense Sand 50g
- Sand for the incense burner is an essential part of incense rituals. It protects the vessel from heat and makes extinguishing easier. Pour in the sand, add the coals and incense and enjoy the beautiful aroma!
Natural incense sand – an indispensable helper in the incense burning ritual
The incense sand is a subtle but crucial element that makes it much easier and more comfortable to use the incense incense during aromatherapy rituals, meditation or spiritual practice. Its main function is thermal insulation – it effectively protects the incense burner or holder from excessive heat and also extends the duration of the glowing charcoal.
Why use incense sand?
- Safety first – the sand prevents the incense burner or holder from overheating, which protects both your hands and the surface on which the vessel stands.
- Ease of extinguishing – unused incense, such as white sage, Palo Santo or incense sticks, can be quickly extinguished by pressing them into the sand.
- Reusable – the sand can be used repeatedly. After each ritual, simply sift it to get rid of ashes and incense residues. Regular replacement will ensure its freshness and optimal properties.
Simple to use:
Pour the sand into the inside of the incense burner to create an even layer. Then place a charcoal on it, light it and wait for it to glow. Once the coal have reached the right temperature, scatter your favourite blend of incense, resin or aromatic herbs over it. Let your space fill with the heat-releasing fragrance and pleasant smoke.
Safety tips:
When burning incense, avoid direct contact with the sand as its surface can reach very high temperatures. Leave the sand to cool completely after the ritual.
